Greetings and welcome to Friday!

Paul (and Susan) are off doing a Midwest family visit over Spring Break – he’ll be back in the office next Wednesday.

Here’s our weekly team update:

  • Partner Support/Community Support
      • Art, Oysters & Brews – Paul, Stacie and Sarah had a meeting about next steps in event planning on Monday. Stacie created and updated the project plan, coordinated a meeting with key partners (City of Toledo, Toledo Chamber of Commerce, Timbers) for early April, and reached out to last year’s food vendors. Sarah worked on some initial event coordination, she updated the artist vendor form, reserved security, and secured a donation from Dahl disposal for garbage services.
      • City of Toledo – Paul met with Toledo City Manager Rich Huebner and Chamber Director Amber Brown. They discussed strategies to bring businesses to empty downtown storefront locations.
      • Port of Newport – Sarah and Stacie put together a letter of support for the Port of Newport’s Connect Oregon grant application.
  • Core Economic Development Services
      • Lincoln County Economic Report – Sarah finished making a webpage for the Lincoln County Economic Report and Stacie created a social media post for it.
      • Lincoln County Economic Summit – Sarah finished up the thank you cards for the Economic Summit. Stacie updated the budget with final expenses to the best of her ability. Completion pending Paul’s return.
      • Oregon Prospector – Sarah updated listings on Oregon Prospector and added new ones.
  • Community Connecting
      • Community Connector Webpage Updating – On Thursday afternoon, Stacie oriented Leslie to the website updating process, and she updated streamlined wording on the Community Connector Page, in preparation for more networking and sharing of Community Connector work in Bend during the NADO and R2R summits. Leslie has additional drafted elements that may be added to the site, pending a future check in with Paul to make sure they’re a good fit with both EDALC Strategic Priorities and this year’s TFFF Grant deliverables.
      • See Leslie’s full update here: March 27, 2026 EDALC CC Weekly Report
  • Organizational Management
    • Marketing & Communication
        • Stacie updated the summit webpage and made some small changes to the menu structure to emphasize recent core economic development work. She also managed EDALC social media, and added to the list of topics/events for inclusion in the April newsletter.
    • Project Work
        • Stacie reached out to a potential venue for the annual meeting and expects to have a quote early next week.

That’s it for this week – thanks for ALL that you are doing out there. Keep us posted if you have anything you want us to share – we love hearing from you! Have a wonderful weekend!

Cheers,

-The EDALC Team (Paul, Sarah, Leslie and Stacie)
