Quality Local Workforce

Lincoln County has a quality local workforce and a net pattern of in-migration over the past decade. With the Oregon Coast Community College having multiple campuses in the county, workforce training is readily available, both for in-demand fields such nursing and welding, but also through custom training developed to match employer needs.
Northwest Oregon Works (NOW) is the designated local workforce board for the region under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA). NOW receives federal and state funding to invest in aligning workforce, education, and economic development to meet the needs of individuals and businesses.

Rotary Program

Lincoln County has three Rotary Clubs, which are perfect organizations for newcomers to meet other people that live and work in the county.
Lincoln City has a club in the north county, Newport in central Lincoln County and Toledo in the east. All clubs are located in Rotary district 5110.
Rotary is where neighbors, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders, and take action to create lasting change. The Rotary slogans of Service Above Self and One Profits Most Who Serves Best are more than just lip service here in Lincoln County.
