Paul’s week:

Stakeholder Listening Sessions – I pulled together my own report on the listening sessions from last week (I haven’t yet seen what Frank Burris from OSU Extension has put together), plus some thoughts and strategies on next steps that I believe fit with our goals and priorities (as well as those of the County) – I’ve shot those notes out to the Executive Committee for some initial feedback.

Toledo Projects – We’ll be meeting with our team on the Phantom Gallery project early next week – and will be coming up with some guidelines for potential artists. I also worked with Mayor Cross to develop a draft letter to go out to all the landlords on a four-block length of Main Street – to inform them of the “Toledo: Connecting Art, Industry & History” and also to solicit feedback.

Taft Sizzle Sheet – I put together some more edits on our verbiage and we just need some data from Alison Robinson, and then it’ll go off to Ed’s designer for an initial pass on a layout for this four page brochure. I’m looking forward to getting this together – I’ve got a good sense on how this approach can be used in multiple areas of the county.

Office Updating – We found new homes for the old HP printer and the old oak desk. We’ve got Suzan’s computer and routers (and such) into a good storage rack and Suzan has started setting up her new workspace. Furniture is all moved and I’ll be bringing in a nice rug over the weekend. Next steps are getting some good art on the walls and going through some of the older files to see what we really need (and some needed cable management!). Another week and we’d love to have you guys come by and check it out!

QuickBooks – I was able to spend some time training Suzan on using Columbia’s online bill-pay. I was also able to directly link our checking account with QuickBooks so all transactions will be coming in automagically. The next step is link the EDALC credit card with QuickBooks and then our system should be fully twenty-first century. As is par for the course, Columbia is making the CC linkage a little more arduous than it should be, but we’ll hopefully have that working next week.

New Website – I was able to get some good work done this week and have time blocked out next week to continue that work. My hard deadline is when I meet with Anvil Media on December 8th – I want to have things up and rocking by then. I’ve attached two screenshoots of the board of directors section of the website – if you want a different picture or mini-bio (for some, there is “lorem ipsoum” placeholder text), please shoot info to me next week (and many thanks!).

Thanks for all that you are doing out there! Please reach out to me if you need anything at all.

Have a great weekend!

Cheers,

-Paul 🙂
