Greetings and happy Friday!

I am sending out the EDALC team’s weekly update as our leader Paul takes some well deserved R&R in Hawaii (we’re all very jealous).

Here’s the staff update for the week:

    • Partner Support/Community Support
      • Central Coast Food Web – Sarah attended the CCFW summer board meeting Monday afternoon.
      • Toledo/Art, Oysters & Brews – Stacie and Sarah worked on AOB marketing including social media posts and the press release. Sarah picked up the posters from Pacific Digital and Stacie will be papering Toledo with them just in time for the town to be inundated for the Summer Festival weekend. Sarah continued to coordinate the Art, Oysters & Brews event – sending out logistical emails, updating the website, and scheduling another team meeting.
      • Newport/Toledo Stacie reached out to OCVA to find out why Newport and Toledo were missing from the art trail map and a long-standing technical issue was quickly resolved.
    • Blue Economy/O2IH
      • Stacie read industry newsletters and spent some time adding blue economy accounts to our social media feeds to support info gathering and relationship building down the road.
    • Core Economic Development Services
      • Major Employers Report – Sarah continued to work on the major employers report.
      • Oregon Prospector – Sarah updated Oregon Prospector listings and added new ones.
    • Community Connecting
  • Funding Pursuits, ContinuedIn addition to The Ford Family Foundation (TFFF) invite-only funding request we submitted last week, Leslie has been working with a few partner organizations on collaborative grants to continue funding and prioritizing 2025-26 Community Connector work. After this week, there are two more partner grants out that would include funding for CC project support, and one more grant in the planning phases. If your organization would like Community Connector support on a collaborative, community-centered effort in the year ahead, now is the time to reach out for a discussion before Leslie’s workload fills up with more funding-aligned commitments.
  • Marketing & Communication
      •  Stacie worked on the summer newsletter and shared relevant partner/regional posts on various social media channels as well as the usual Friday roundup of central coast goings on.

That’s it for this week. Thanks for ALL that you are doing out there! Keep us posted if you have anything you want us to share – we love hearing from you! Have a wonderful weekend!

Cheers,

-The EDALC Team (Paul, Sarah, Leslie and Stacie)
