Greetings and welcome to yet another damp Friday the 13th!

Paul here – reporting for the whole team. Not much of an update today, since yesterday was our 2026 Lincoln County Economic Summit, and that’s what we spent all week working on – and we’re recovering today.

So Summit recap: mic drop.

It was easily our best Summit – content-wise and by attendance. Eight hours and 24 speakers! Yowza! The entire team (plus some pinch hitting from Allyson West) stepped up to deliver what looked like a seamless and professional event experience.

A HUGE thank you to our amazing moderators: Jason, Marshall and Gregory! And to our other Directors who could attend!

Here are some comments that came in this morning from the Council of Governments:

I just wanted to share a big thank you to you all! The event yesterday was magnificent. This was one of my favorites yet. The connections, and atmosphere were lovely. I also really resonated with the keynote, and her presentation was enlightening as well as informative. It was a great event, and my team and I had a wonderful time. I wanted to share that after the CWEDD video was shared, we had about a half dozen folks stop by our table to talk a little about the CEDS, and to take home a copy of the Executive Summaries I printed which was nice to see the engagement around that topic.

Thank you again for such a valuable event, and for your dedication to economic development. We are beyond appreciative of your team and your organization.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cheers,

-Paul
